Primary children at the Port Dunford Branch singing I Am A Child of God - the last verse is sung in Zulu - how very very special - wow.

We have a young boy that is so special we call him Soso.  I had the opportunity to confirm him a member of The Church and we met at Church last Sunday.   I asked him where his Grandmother was who normally brings him with her and he said “She did not have enough transport money so she sent me.”

Our New Boys.... Elders of the Lord

Our Missionaries -  Our first ten "Missionary Sons" will always be special in our hearts as thy were here to greet us!!

They helped us as much as we helped them.  We became a team as we all did Missionary Work.

We Learned of their sacrifices to come on a mission.  They told us their conversion stories and their testimonies and their love for Our Savior Jesus Christ.

Welcome to our new home.....

Arriving in South Africa - after 42 hours of flight and layovers two  tired missionaries arrived - at last - in Durban South Africa.
It was a welcome sight to see our mission President and his wife waiting for us!  It was an instant friendship! Three of our suitcases were lost but we were here! They took us to meet everyone in the mission office for training. Finally to our B&B and some sleep!  We spent the night and the next day training and locating our missing suitcases.
The following morning we were given  keys to our car and our home and a cell then - we were off for our new adventure to Richards Bay - 2 hours north of Durban - trying to learn how to drive on the left side of the road in a new country!!! Our MIssionareis from RIchards Bay were starting to call us to see when we were going to be home - we realized we now had 10 new sons waiting for us to come home!
It is a blessing for the technology of a GPS - it led us to our new home - it directed us to the right street but we had no idea which house - all the homes have big walls and gates so we were pushing our key button to see which gate opened.  Finally a gate opened and we had arrived to Our New Home!

Today your mother had the opportunity to give a talk at one of the branches and she always touches your Dad very deep when she does.   Just wanted you to see her in action again with all the children - she does love the primary kids very much and the youth.  They are the key to Africa - the young ones.

Love you tons

Mothers Day.....

Happy Mothers Day!!

Hi everyone,

These are a couple of pictures I thought you may like.  The young women above gave you mom a big hug and a gift on Mother's day - this shows them together the day they had practiced the program at the Ngwelezane branch and the other picture shows the women together after the Mother's day program at the Enselini branch.  We traveled to two branches that day.

Because everyone tried so hard to let her know of you love for her she had a wonderful day.
Thanks to all of you and your love.

We are having an adventure of a life time...........

We are currently planning our next adventure we get to go to Kosi BayThey do not have a priesthood leader so we trade off with the missionaries and the district presidency in going to Kosi.

This will be your mothers first time there - I went once before.  It is a three hour trip up and back - so it takes a full day of travel.  I am excited and then we are going to take a few days and go to Swaziland - another free state in South Africa - and visit a missionary couple and see some sights.  Should be fun - I hope - never know for sure what we will find.

We will have to cross a guarded boarder and some times they give you a hassle.

Love you tons
Dad

A Note Hellooooooo...

Just a note to let you know that all is well in South Africa.   Today is P day and we are hoping to get something done for a change - the last P days became very busy and tomorrow will be busy.
Tomorrow is transfer day for the Elders - we have 10 elders we work with they are exceptional.
We will be transporting a few missionaries around tomorrow as they are being transferred to other areas.  Will get some new Elders coming into the area that will replace the ones leaving.  Tough time learning the Elders names - will have to start a new round with the new ones.

Yesterday was another adventure as I had to go up the coast to Kosi Bay to a very small twig with a Branch President and we were there to give them the sacrament.   It was a seven hour round tirp adventure.   Sister Jaeger will be going with me the next time we go up there in six week.    This was the first visit and I needed some direction and it was neat.  There are some sweet members of the church that need some support.  Only 15 of us in the small roomed chapel - 6 were children.

Let us know how things are going - we think of you often and love to hear from you.
Sister Jaeger would especially like to hear from each of you.

Love you Tons
